Taking care of crops means not only giving them the water necessary for development and suitable soil. Sometimes assistance acquires the form of attention to parasites and diseases, the main danger that affects crops of any kind. From one year to the next, new parasites may appear, the insects will have to face the choice insecticides suited.
What are the most dangerous parasites for agricultural crops?
Until recently, crops in our country knew foreseeable parasites, which attacked some types of plants. This has been changed lately, because more and more species of insects have been interested in cultures other than the usual ones.
Colorado Beetle
This parasite is already common in our country and is already recognized for attacks on the potato plant. However, the potato is not the only plant struck by the cockroach of Colorado, expanding its attacks also on tomatoes or aubergines.
Colorado's cockroach is easy to recognize for its appearance, the wings have vanished, like a zebra, in shades of black and white, and the legs have a reddish color. Colorado's cockroach can remove about 2 generations per year and the larvae develop in the ground. The favorable conditions for the development of the Colorado cockroach are very close to high temperatures, its appearance has been reported from the end of spring to late autumn. Colorado's cockroach requires special insecticides, which slide the larvae and outbreaks, so that their development is stopped. The crops affected by the Colorado cockroach have perforated red leaves and the plant seems apparently dried. The tubers are affected at the growth level, but are not attacked by cockroaches.
The white butterfly of the cabbage
Cabbage crops are influenced by the presence of white butterflies, which seem not to cause damage. In reality, however, the important damage is done by the larvae and must be eliminated because they can attack other cultures, such as cauliflower. The larvae can cause significant damage to the leaves, because they are red to the ribs, which endangers the development of the plant. The larvae attach the grouped and the eggs are deposited by the females the lower surface of the leaves, which attack on the same side.
The spiders of the earth
The spiders also have an important contribution to the deterioration of crops, their attacks that operate by stinging, which in many cases leads to weaken the resistance of the plants and dry it. Almost every plant is attacked by these spiders, being often their favorite goal.
Tomato worms
Tomato worms are also part of the category of harmful insects, because in every phase of the development of insects, the plants are restless attacked. Larves and omissions feed on the leaves of the plant, in the first phase, so that, with the appearance of fruit, parasites to attack the fruit, making holes. Therefore, in order not to reduce the profitability of the cultivation of these varieties, it is necessary to use special insecticides, which have the property to protect both the plant and its roots, strongly affected by parasites.
Carrot muscle
The category of flies is one of the most dangerous plants, because their attack means that the inability to produce the root in the ground to the following types of vegetables: celery, carrot, puncture or parsley. The carrot Moscow can produce up to two generations for years and the egg incubation period is about 10-12 days. The flies multiply with incredible speed, especially when the environmental conditions are favorable. The first signs that the plant has been attacked consist in the observation of the growth and development restrictions and in the verification of the plant there are holes in its root.
The Musca of Heda
A special category of flies is the one that attacks cereal crops, in case barley, oats or corn. Hesssa's fly is very dangerous because the affected plants hardly survive, above all because the larva has the ability to stop the transmission of cell juice into the leaves of the plant. Without this, the areas where the circuit stops yellow, transforming brown into time and the leaf is easily detached from the stem, not nourished.
The fight against parasites is very important because it is related to large areas, the effects produced by insects can endanger crops. Soil treatments are very important, because in most cases they go directly to the source of the problem, promptly eliminating the parasites.
Gobos cockroach
Recognized very quickly for its shiny black appearance, bright with metal reflections, the Gobos cockroach attacks in particular cereal crops during spring and autumn seasons. Its larvae are able to create real galleries at the ground level, right near the plants, so that through these tunnels the plant is designed inside. When the cockroach is an adult, it can be fed directly on the stem of the plant, with its cereals. Gobos cockroach is a simple case, because it creates a single generation per year, but also in this situation, given the severity of the attacks, it must be eliminated before laying the eggs and colonize the surfaces near the plants.
Snails
Despite the fact that for many people they seem cute, the garden snails are real causes in terms of crops. Basically they can bear the leaves of the crops with an incredible speed, especially during the night, and for this reason the effects are observed relatively late. The snails multiply equally quickly, being able to generate up to 3 generations per year, enormous if the earth and crops have not sprinkled insecticides for the protection of crops.
Of course, the number of parasites is much higher than that presented in today's material, but they are the most common and sometimes more dangerous insects that affect our agricultural crops.
